TrimVid LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the Deja2™ Camera mobile application (the “App”). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information and permissions when you use our App.

1. Information We Process and How We Use It

We believe in data minimization. Core media features of the App process data locally on your device:

  • Camera: Used to capture live video for preview, delayed replay (buffer), and recording.
  • Photos and Videos: With your permission, the App saves pictures and videos you create to your device’s Photo Library.
  • Microphone Audio: With your permission, the App captures audio while you record videos.
  • Location Data (optional): You may choose to grant Location access and enable saving location with clips. If permitted, this data is used solely to add geographical location tags (geotags) to the metadata of photos and videos you capture, so they can be organized by location in Photos. Location is not required to use the App.
  • Local Processing: Preview, delay/replay buffering, recording, editing, and watermarking happen on your device. We do not upload, stream, store, or monitor your media, audio, or location history on TrimVid servers for analysis or cloud storage.

Subscriptions and purchases: The App may offer an optional paid subscription (for example, watermark-free saves and premium features). Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to help manage and verify subscription status and entitlements on the device. Apple and RevenueCat may process purchase-related identifiers and transaction information as described in their privacy policies. We do not receive your full payment card details.

Feedback and testimonials: If you use in-app Feedback / Report Problems or Send a Testimonial, you may choose to send information by email and/or by opening our website help form. Content you voluntarily submit (and any diagnostic information you choose to include) is used to respond to you and improve the App. Please do not include sensitive personal information you do not wish to share.

2. Permissions We Request

To provide core features, the App may request the following iOS permissions:

  • Camera: Used for live preview, delayed replay, and recording.
  • Photo Library Access: Used to save the photos and videos you capture or create to your device’s Photos app.
  • Microphone Access: Used to record audio alongside your video captures.
  • Location Services (optional): Used only to embed location metadata into media files when you allow it and enable saving location with clips. You can change or revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings.

3. Third-Party Services

  • The App does not use third-party advertising or analytics software to track you across other apps or websites.
  • Apple processes App Store purchases and related account/transaction data under Apple’s privacy policy.
  • RevenueCat helps verify and sync subscription entitlements. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.
  • If you visit our website (help, feedback, privacy, or marketing pages), that site’s normal web hosting practices may apply separately from on-device media processing in the App.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Data Retention

Because we do not collect or store your media, audio, or location history on TrimVid servers, we do not retain that content. Media saved to your Photo Library remains there until you delete it. Purchase and subscription records are retained by Apple (and as needed by RevenueCat) under their policies. Feedback or testimonials you send are retained as needed to support you and improve the App.

5. Children’s Privacy

Our App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of changes by posting the updated Privacy Policy on this page and revising the “Effective Date” at the top.
